Volunteers for OVO Womens Tour Saturday 10th June
Matlock CC helping at the 2017 OVO Energy Women’s Tour Saturday 10th June 2017
Stage 4 of The Women's Tour, part of the UCI Women's World Tour is coming to Derbyshire on Saturday 10th June 2017. Providing the elite riders and spectators with the most enjoyable, safe experience possible is a priority for SweetSpot as Race Organiser.
We have been asked if Matlock Cycling Club like to be part of the action and help at the QoM point at Crich?
We are seeking 8 -10 volunteers from the club to assist WT staff at the Crich Queen of the Mountain Point until the riders and final vehicle in the race convoy have passed through the section. We are also welcome to wear club kit etc to promote the club as part of our duties!
Below is an outline of the timing and duties for volunteers:
1-2 hours, marshalling spectators before and during the race, promote sales of programmes to the public, distribute sponsors materials to the public, assist in passing on information advising on local facilities, reporting anything dangerous or suspicious to Tour staff.
In return the club will receive a bundle of cycling goodies from official race sponsors and partners and volunteers should receive a OVO Energy Womens Tour T Shirt!
If you would like to help out please can you let us know at enquiries@matlockcyclingclub.org.uk as soon as possible as we need to let the organiser know we have enough volunteers!
Thank You
Matlock CC
