Stolen Wilier/Ribble/Basso form Derby

Post by Dan.J on Tue Jan 07, 2014 5:11 am

At around midnight on the 31st Dec i had all my bikes stolen,
the first was a Wilier Le Roi with campagnolo record groupset, Trp carbon brakes, FAS carbon seat tube and plasma bars with campag zonda wheels, built up my self so pretty individual,
the second was my partners Basso reef with deda bars, stem and seat tube and mavic kysrium wheelset
the third was a ribble carbon evo pro which was the summer special with campagnolo centaur groupset
and finally they took a wilier triestina with veloce groupset which was my work hack, so all in all we are totally destroyed by this.
It happen in the rowditch area of derby
if any of you guys hear anything please dont hesitate to contact me
and please just rethink your security, i feel like my soul has been ripped out.
cheers Dan.

That's terrible Dan!
Having been the victim of crime...having a bike stolen is just awful, having all your bikes stolen must be soul destroying!  Mad

Keep checking E-Bay and we'll keep our eyes and ears open!

Have you got ant photos?

many thanks for the reply, ive been checking ebay and gumtree, the frustrating thing is on saturday someone went into samways cycles with a picture of my bike on his phone asking what size they reckon the frame was because he was thinking of buying it, it was the Le roi so it is obviously still local and still in 1 piece,

it was three youths, seen riding off with them, one had a bike on his shoulder, forced the gate open which was shoot bolted with a heavy lock
cut of the shed lock, cut through steel cabling which was around all the bikes.
pretty determined and came tooled up.

certainly does...sorry about that Dan, if they're that determined there's not a lot you can do....do you use Strava by the way? I've heard thieves use that to find targets.
