Message from Elisa McDonagh - Elisa is looking at putting on a ladies only race with Matlock CC at Darley Moor but in addition she asks:

'I'm asking one of the local clubs (Ashfield RC) to add a women's only 2nd, 3rd and 4th cat race to their existing programme of races at Darley Moor in Derbyshire this summer.

They've come back to me and offered 7th June and 12th July... however they need an idea of numbers BEFORE they can commit to adding women only races to their existing programme.

At this stage I'm not sure what times the races will be.

So hypothetically if there was a women only 2/3/4 on 7th June and 12th July would you enter? Please let me know by next Sunday (9th Feb) so I can get back in touch with the organisers. Email is elisamcdonagh@gmail.com'

Hi there,

Apologies for any cross posting or if you've already seen this on Facebook and responded.

The organisers (Ashfield RC) have now set up a Facebook thread to gauge interest in these two potential women only circuit races at Darley Moor on 7th June and 12th July.

To make these happen we need as many of you to post in this thread as possible. It's only an expression of interest not a commitment at this stage. If there isn't enough interest these women only races won't happen and that'd be a real shame.

Please post in this thread and share it on Facebook and Twitter. Please forward this email on to everyone you know.

And don't forget Matlock Cycling Club are definitely holding a women only 3/4 circuit race at Darley Moor on 4th May at 2pm. Details to follow.

Thanks

Elisa
