Will be entering this next week, nice early season form finder. Do people mostly do this on road bikes or TT rigs?

There will be both sorts of bikes in the event so you won't be out of place on either. If you want to be quick though the TT rig is faster as long as you have the gears to get up Moor Lane which is 1 in 7. The undulating top of the course and the downhill finish make up for any time lost using a TT bike for the first climbing part of the course.

2 years ago I rode my road bike in the club event the week before and my TT bike in the open, weather conditions were similar and I was 4 minutes quicker on the TT bike!

Wow, that's quite a difference! I'm used to hill climb events but not even had my TT bike on the road yet so not sure if I'll maximise the speed it'll give on the downhill, not quite ready for 50mph yet!

You could always have a mate holding a bike at Monyash and do a bike swap. Smile

I cycled up to Winster today. They are major roadworks!!!! A whole section of road has gone on the downhill section and huge areas are being worked on. Lucky i entered the J2/3!!
