In case you are interested......
Dear Go20 partners and 20mph supporters
Urgent – public support for wide 20mph in Derbyshire needed now. Please tell supporters to fill in an online form by 30 Sept
Derbyshire is consulting on wide area 20mph limits to 30th Sept
http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/council/have_your_say/consultation_search/Consultation_search_index/20mph_speed_limits_on_residential_streets.asp
There is only an online form. Yet the biggest winners from wide area 20mph limits are also the least likely to fill in an on line form. They are poor, children, those in ill health, those with slowest mobility, non car owners, older people, disabled, blind, those with dementia, walkers etc
We would really appreciate your help to tell your supporters in Derbyshire to fill in the form.
The consultation is open to all Derbyshire residents and business owners, workers. Children’s views are welcome too.
20’s Plenty for Us doesn’t have many email lists for members of the public and need your help urgently.
The danger of not much public response is that the money on 20mph won’t be justified (this happened in Hartlepool for instance where just not enough people responded to the Council consultation)
The consequence of a negative response is clear.
So please help us to win 20mph limits for Derbyshire. Thank you
We suggest you say in e-shots, letters, newsletters
