Message from John Anglesea regarding the Mallory Park Road Racing League Youth Programme for 2014:

'We are all sorted with BC, so here are details of the Youth programme for 2014, Senior programme to follow tomorrow or Friday

- The youth league will run on every Tuesday evening starting 15th April through to 12th August with a break for the Whitsun holiday (no racing 27th May)
- We will be running 2 races per night, U8/U10/U12 and U14/16. First race needs to start at 6.30pm prompt to make this work, second race 6.50pm. We will alternate the early start (U8/10/12 start at 6.30pm one week, U14/16 early start the next etc)
- A league will operate as last year, 3/2/1 points for the first 3 in each category, prize money and trophies for top 3 in each category at the end of the year
- There will also be a club team league this year, sponsored by Jewson, 3/2/1 points for the first 3 riders in each category plus 0.5 points for every starter. £100 prize for the top club team, £50 for second

A few extras we are also including
- Dean Hughes, BC East Midlands Go-Ride coach, will be running 2 coaching sessions immediately after the racing on 6th and 13th May. Will advise more on this later but it is also an opportunity for any parents who may want to get involved in coaching to come along and see whats involved
- A joint mini-league with the youth races Dean organises at Prestwold. Prestwold events on 07/05 and 04/06 and Mallory events on 22/04, 20/05 and 17/06 will combine as a league with trophies and prizes to the overall winners
- The Mallory Mini Bike Grand Prix, run by Nick Walling, some time early July on the infield immediatey after the track racing has finished

And finally, a Champions night on Thursday 4th September

Heres hoping that the standard of racing picks up from where we left it back in September and makes the same sort of progress as we saw in 2013. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the start line on 15th April!'
