Entering club TT's Empty Entering club TT's

Post by Brendan RIce Fri Mar 04, 2016 11:44 pm

Hi there

After a bit of advice, are club TT's open to be entered by non club members?

If so could someone tell me how its done?

I am a member of a CTT affiliated club (Derby Tri Club), i've entered a couple of your Open events for the year and would like to have a go at some of your 25m and 50m TT's.

I'm brand new to TT'ing so please include any obvious explanation that you might normally miss!

Thanks in advance
Brendan Rice

Yes you can ride our Club TTs. There is a £3 charge for each ride. Details and courses can be found from the website. Go to racing and TTs. There are no marshals at these events so it is advisable to ride the courses before the event. Please turn up at least 5 mins from the advertised start to sign on, usually in the car parked near the start. For Ashford events, the meeting time is 18.30, numbers are issued and you ride to the start, first rider off at 18.45. Riders set off at 1 min intervals.

Hi - when you get to the event look for the car near the start - in the back of it (or being handed around the riders) will be a start sheet which you can add your name to and sign - that's effectively your entry form for a Club event.

Hi - yes sign on is in the starting layby. There isn't much room in the layby so you can park your car just back in Darley Dale somewhere - perhaps on Derwent View / Church Road so you can ride straight up to the start.
