new track coaching sessions for youth A and B riders
Rob Sharman is running some track coaching sessions in June and July at Forest Town, Mansfield.
The sessions will replicate roughly the type of session & content that the Tuesday Night Manchester sessions offer (email attached) & as described in this email the sessions aim to fill the gap from Velodrome Track Club Cluster to RSR & Regional/National level competition. The sessions are a pilot for the Club Cluster Training (CCTs) sessions that we will see form an essential first step on our Regional Performance Pathway.
(More info here on the performance pathway structure: http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/performancepathway )
We will be using race skills at speed to give the sessions a fitness & skills development focus and for that reason the sessions are for riders who are already racing the track.
Riders observed as not at the standard required will be asked to return to track club cluster or club sessions to up skill and coach will be advised of this. THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO RIDE THE TRACK SESSION.
For each session racers will need their own track bike, appropriate food/Drink & on/off bike clothing along with a set of rollers (incase of rain) & also £4 session fee. Parental consent forms will need to be filled out & will be handed out at sign on before the session.
Session dates & venues are as follows:
Forest Town Track 7-9pm – Wednesdays June 11th & 25th. July 9th
More dates maybe to follow………………..
