Kids club kit update

Just a bit of an update on this. The club is looking into getting some kids kit into stock. The idea would be that we keep things simple and just stick to an order of short sleeved tops in various kids sizes at a reasonable price. I am looking at a few suppliers but if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

With the sponsors about to be updated there will be a bit of a delay until the current design is tweaked so please bear with us!

Further update. We have the new kit design complete with new sponsors being worked on and have a potential supplier. We would be looking to place a bulk order of short sleeved tops, the blue design in ages 6/7, 8/9, 10/11 and 12/13 hopefully to be delivered by Christmas and somewhere between £20 to £30 pounds each (trying for the lower end of that price band).

We are unsure of how many to order, so just as an expression of interest, who would be interested, how many tops and in what sizes please?

I'd be in for a 6/7 and an 8/9...would be good to get some smaller sizes though as we do have younger members too...if you can source them I'd get a 4/5 and even a 2/3 if available...be nice to have a Matlock Army of kids at the events!

Hmmm smaller sizes might be difficult to get hold of - the supplier we are looking at doesn't go smaller than 6 years old. As an alternative we could look at custom t shirts for under 6s as these would be easy to get?

That's not a problem. The other size is for Jimmy so he can have a bigger one and put it over his coat. At least then when he gets lost he can be handed back to the right group of people!

Further update - order placed with the supplier - they are just sorting out the kit design to fit their kit - I'll give you a delivery date when I hear and they will be £24 each.

The order sizes have actually changed slightly - we have ordered 50 short sleeved tops in the MCC blue design with the new sponsors logos in the following sizes:

Size 1 age 6/7
Size 2 age 8/9
Size 3 age 10/11
Size 4 age 12/13
Size 5 age 14/15

We are interested in a size 3 and a size 4 for Libby and Ellie. Any chance of a girl's skin suit in size 4?

At this stage the order is for children's tops only as it's a bulk order being placed by the club.

I expect that there will be a wish for adult kit and different types of garments like skinsuits with the new sponsors for next year. Up for discussion at the next committee meeting - I will post something up when it's been discussed.

Not sure I can 'officially' reveal who the sponsors are yet!

Disappointing news is that because it took longer than expected to get the design sorted with the new sponsors it looks like delivery will be mid January. Sorry to anyone that wanted the kit for Christmas :-(

Please may I order a size 2 and a size 3. I may need to swap the 2 for a 1 depending on the sizing as George is in between the sizes.

Just heard from the supplier, they have had some delays meaning delivery is due on 5th March - at least we have a date now to look forward to :-)

Any news on the kit? Has it been delivered?

Getting pestered ! No idea how the kids can remember this date but cant get homework done on time   

Yes it's due and chased again this week but not heard yet - hopefully imminent delivery and I'll post up on here when I have news...

Kids tops are here! Looks great but they are looking like proper cycling tops and so are quite tight fitting in typical Italian fashion! I have them and will sort out the reserved items first before they go on 'general sale' The main issue I can foresee is if you try them and find them a tight fit - in the larger sizes we can't swop them around as they are all reserved - let's see how you find them. Payment on collection please £24 and I'll bring them to all events I am going to in the near future. I have got to get away after Tom's race at Darley Mpor tomorrow but will be coming along to roller racing on Thursday
